CHRONO TRIGGER

Still Matt's favorite game to this day, Chrono Trigger is a classic Squaresoft JRPG that is considered by many to be the greatest JRPG ever made, and one of the greatest games of all time.

During the story, a horrible tragedy occurs, and the heroes are presented with a choice: accept their fate, or use a device called a Chrono Trigger to go back in time and attempt to set things right. The small, magical device is shaped like an egg, and can alter time if used by a group with enough determination to do it.

This is where the name Time Egg comes from.
